Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to analyze the implementation of SIA (Academic Information System) in private universities of Semarang by proposing Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) concept. TAM is a model that can explain individual acceptance to the use of an information technology in organization. The data analysis of this research was conducted by testing by testing SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), this research used variance approach (Partial Least Square) and the data was processed by using SmartPLS statistics software. The research used survey method by giving questionnaire to 150 students of semester six from three selected universities, namely Dian Nuswantoro University (UDINUS), Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA), and Semarang University (USM) where the number of respondents from each university were 50 respondents. The results showed that self efficacy had significant impact towards the perceived usefulness. Subjective norm had significant impact towards perceived usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use. Perceived usefulness had significant impact on attitude toward the system. while Self Efficacy was insignificant to Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Ease of Use was also insignificant to Attitude Toward the System.
